Journal security

Context: the client is loading a high number of manual journals for all entities on a monthly basis through the menu Transfer/ External data/ Import from flat files

In Cognos Controller, it is true that when a user is working in the menu Company / data entry – company journals on a certain company in a specific journal type, another user cannot open a journal type in that menu in write mode (system design).

When loading journals, it make sense that 1 user is working on the loading of e.g. hedging journals for all entities of the group whilst another user is working on another journal type on a specific company. Currently, the user cannot load all journals for all entities in 1 go because 1 user is locking the menu company journals for 1 company.

Hence, the request is whether there is a way (via e.g. server or local preferences) to ‘overrule' this security setting and limit the security to a certain company *and* a specific journal type (and not all journal types).
