Need an api for updating Metadata Enrichment results - specific fields

We request the development of a custom POST API to streamline our processes. We couldn’t find an existing API that meets our requirements, and the current API options in the CP4D, create significant development overhead for our team. Below is our suggestion:

API Requirements:

The POST API should accept the following parameters:

  • Project_id (Mandatory)
  • Asset_id (Mandatory)
  • Column_name (Mandatory)
  • Display_name (Optional)
  • Description (Optional)

Example of Input JSON Body:

{

  "project_id": "Mandatory",

  "asset_id": "Mandatory",

  "columns": [

    {

      "column_name": "emp_id",

      "display_name": "Identity of the employee",

      "description": "Provides the unique number which can be used to query the tables"

    },

    {

      "column_name": "emp_birthdt",

      "display_name": "Birth date of the employee",

      "description": "Provides the age of employee"

    }

  ]

}

Functionality:

  • The API should perform a lookup based on Project_id, Asset_id, and Column_name.
  • It should update the corresponding Display_name and Description if these fields are provided.
  • If either the Display_name or Description fields are not present, the API should not update that respective field.

Output JSON Body:

  • The result should include any erroneous records, highlighted in the JSON response.

Example of Result Set:

{

  "project_id": "Mandatory",

  "asset_id": "Mandatory",

  "columns": [

    {

      "column_name": "empp_id",

      "display_name": "Identity of the employee",

      "description": "Provides the unique number which can be used to query the tables",

      "reject_reason": "Column_name not found"

    },

    {

      "column_name": "emp_birthdatee",

      "display_name": "Birth date of the employee",

      "description": "Provides the age of employee",

      "reject_reason": "Column_name not found"

    }

  ]

}

Additional Considerations:

  • We should not have any batch size limit for the number of columns per POST request.
  • If a batch size is mandatory, please set it to at least 100.

We appreciate your quick response!
