CJAP / Authentication

*** Please note:    IDEA for a future evolution of CA on Software Hub (https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/software-hub/5.1.x?topic=new-cognos-analytics) ***

Groups and roles are created dynamically over CJAP from the on-site BI database. These groups and roles are not part of a LDAP provider.

Main reasons for CJAP:

+ More than one source of authorization.  CJAP can unify these and store in a single database.

+ Dynamically add specific roles to a support user account

+ Re-Authentication after expiration of user session. I.e. reduction of user sessions in Cognos

Expectation:  ideally implementation of the current Java interface, possibly via microservices
Preferred solution:   container based option for Cognos including CJAP regardless where deployed.
