User should be created automatically from connected group (LDAP/SAML/OIDC) and not after the first login

See this idea on ideas.ibm.com

LDAP/SAML/OIDC connected user groups users are not automatically created as CP4D users. This restrict user administrators to give further permissions for the users like adding category roles

When this is planned for the release?

As mentioned earlier, we are considering NINAA IDP with OIDC or SAML.  Please note users need to available in IKC components upfront (before user login)

Please find the current situation post CP4D5.1 upgrade,

    • With AD groups from enterprise LDAP, users are auto-propagating to user Access Control section in IBM Software Hub. But same users are not propagating to IKC Glossary/Catalog/projects until that users login for the first time
    • With OIDC group from OIDC integration, users are not propagating to Access Control section in IBM Software Hub until users do a first login

In both the situation, users are not populating by default to IKC for user specific assignment like steward assignment, some access control specific to users(instead of entire AD groups), etc..

Please consider this  bulk users population for OIDC groups as well.  Integration technology for OIDC and LDAP is different and that's the reason highlighting this OIDC groups as well.

I think the the simplest solution would be that we could manually run some script which populates members from the LDAP groups to IKC users

Hi Jukka! Could you provide some more information about the current flow between the service and platform. What is the current API that you are using to get User list? How does the service provide permissions to the users today? Is it through the Zen API?
