This would certainly assist us also. We run data propagator and have had issues following third party reorg on compressed tables not being able to find the data dictionary. The capture task stops and we need to rebuild the replication for the particular table. This has prevented us from be able to use such reorgs in production.
Implementing this idea would be good for the z/OS platform and the Db2 for z/OS database system. In particular doing things that large customers need makes it easier to demonstrate the willingness of IBM and 3rd party vendors to meet their needs. However, as the Idea points out, without IBM providing the method, the 3rd party vendors cannot do their part. Thank you for considering this Idea.
