Dynamically update security exits without having to recycle DB2

We have a situation where customized source code had rebuilt because the original was lost. If we have to make multiple changes to get this to work, we have to recycle DB2 each time which is not practical for a prod environment. Even when inserting existing code into new source there is a risk that it will not work. I would like to suggest that DB2 get enhanced where you could issue a DB2 command to reload exits, DSN3@SGN, DSN3@ATH, DSNX@XAC, DSNACICX instead of having to recycle DB2.

    Dear Lynwood,

    Thank you for submitting this Db2 for z/OS Idea.

    After giving the request a comprehensive review, we have determined that we cannot include it as a candidate in an upcoming deliverable because it is not consistent with the product architecture and our strategy for future deliverables. Consequently, we will not be implementing this Idea.

    We appreciate your input to the Db2 for z/OS development team. We also hope that you will continue to submit ideas for improvements as customer feedback is a key component to shaping the future direction of Db2 for z/OS.
