Improve installation CLIST

I have just suffered over two days of Db2 Install Clist and can heartily recommend no-one use it to do a clean Install. The problems are myriad but the absolute number one is when it dies/crashes/abends all input data, apart from two or three random fields, is lost and you must type in all the data again. After the fifth time it died I have given up and will just "do what I used to do" and copy the oldest JCL over to a new lib and do a few "c all" commands and I am good to go. This is not good as I am trying to use z/OSMF to do the "heavy lifting" and so this is realy defeating the whole purpose!

My Idea is that after every panel is left with ENTER to save the data in the users ISPF PROFILE pool. If the CLIST ever finishes correctly then these variables can be deleted and if not then the CLIST can just VGET them to prefill the panels thus enabling quick regen and saving hours and hours of effort.

Quite frankly I am amazed that there is no other Aha Idea around this as when I asked some colleagues they have said it has been pretty bad for the last 20 Years and they have edited it themselves to get it running in the past!
