Lock an account for input in the account structure.

We would like the option to lock an account for input or import of data directly in the account structure.

Account develops over time. Some accounts might not be valid to use over time. It might not be possible to merge these accounts, include them in a separate submission or form as the historical values still might be interesting to see as there are.

In forms you have the possibility to lock the account for input either in the form layout or in the form structure depending on if you are using movement accounts or not.
However, it is still possible to use Cognos Controller Excel to upload values on these "locked" accounts.
Therefore it would be nice if there was an option to lock the account in the account structure.
Currently there seems to be a validation process in Controller to avoid figures on accounts for periods that are locked or summation accounts. The same principle should apply for an account for which the option “locked for input” is selected, i.e. it should be impossible to upload figures for an account that is locked for input.
