Add "Include Null Values" check box to Tab filters in Dashboards when using a Date column for the filter

Real-life scenario:

In a data module there is a table with location data and another table with data relating to the location which includes a date column. Left join the two tables and some records will come back with null values in the date column because the specific location record does not have data in the other table. Now when creating a dashboard a user wants to have a tab filter where they can filter data in the tab based on a date range using the between option. Using the filter removes the locations with nulls in the date field because null does not fall between the dates specified, but there is a need to still include the locations with null dates. Some filters have an option to include null values in the form of a check box, but this scenario there is no such check box. This was also recorded and documented in case number TS005428789.

Workaround:

The current workaround is to create a view of the table and join back to the original table but this significantly increases the load time of the visualizations, but does include the null values for the locations. This is not an adequate workaround.

Proposed Solution:

Include a check box in the filter to include null values as this is an available option for reports and other filters but not available for a tab filter using a date in a dashboard (Dashboards and Reports are different).

Benefits/Value:

This will allow users to visually see the null values in a visualization and better interpret data from those locations rather than just see them missing which in a large table visualization can be difficult to find. This can also be used in other scenarios as well.

number of users impacted:

approximately 50 and impacted every day since the dashboard is used every day.
