The Consistency check doesn't work in an OpenId environment. We are trying to keep our database to the minimum size possible and also cleaning up when user are deleted from AD, etc. This function is not supported right now from what the support said.
Detail of the result of the support ticket:
Lack of consistency check for OIDC namespaces may be partially justified by technical difficulties of queries to OIDC Identity Provider (IDP). But apart from "inconvenience" and content store bloat, that creates another issue. "Orphan" profiles of accounts removed from IDP never get removed from license count. In environments with high turnaround of users that may pose a problem and license count and associated costs can be much higher than actual usage.
Dev team was always aware of that issue, but there was not enough demand to implement a feature of removing OIDC accounts.
It seems like such clean ups can only be done either by manually removing user profiles (which quickly becomes unfeasible), or by using 3rd party account management application such as Motio, which does it by running API calls to Cognos.
But such clean up feature is not a part of standard Cognos offering.
We use methods of bulk loading OIDC users and groups with .cvs files. It should not be exceptionally difficult to create a new feature to remove OIDC users and groups with .csv files as well.
