With RACF-exit, support auth cache refresh for RACF profiles with RACFVARS

Currently RACF ENF signals for the DB2 auth cache refresh are ignored if the profile contains a &RACFVAR class variable.

This blocks the practical use of these profiles.

In our case we have on one sysplex two different sets of DB2 subsystems(or group) each with similar security requirements. For instance 5 DB2 subsystems for development with anonymoused data and 2 D/s groups for pre-prod and LST with production data.

In this situation the use of &RACFVARS in the first qualifier would be very convenient to create two profiles with different RACFVARS.

    Leo,

Thank you for submitting this Aha! Idea. The Db2 for z/OS development team has reviewed it and determined it will not be implemented due to the high implementation cost.

We encourage you to continue submitting your Ideas to our team for consideration.

    Sincerely,

The Db2 for z/OS Development team
