Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests
The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The product management team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.
Receive notification on the decision
Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.
Customer needs a new function that can easily compare source and target.
My customer is using IIDR for IMS for z/OS.(all DEDB) They need a new function that can easily compare source DB and target DB. As an alternative, there is a way to compare both unload data, but there are two problems. - Both unloads must be executed when the source and target DBs are stable. - It takes too much time to unload and compare. In customer's system, the online service stops only one hour a week. Even when a failure occurs, the online service must be resumed as soon as possible. In addition, this system has about 360 DBs and the number of AREA is over 7,000, so the ability to compare in a short time is indispensable. Against such a background, we are requesting a function that can compare source and target even during DB update or replication execution. Like a ASNTDIFF command on QREP.
