We may consider this. However, I suspect that some modelers found this behaviour in Architect a bit confusing. Maybe we could prompt the modeler if they also wanted to provide READ access to the dimensions that are used in a cube when setting READ or WRITE access on a cube. I don't think we want to give users WRITE access to a dimension just because the user has WRITE access on the cube.
I also want to point out that we build a helpful shortcut into PAW already. In the modeling workbench, if you expand a cube in the model tree there is a Dimensions node under each cube. If you right click on that Dimension node there is an option to edit dimension security. This will open the cube viewer to the }DimensionSecurity cube and show only the dimensions used in that cube. This makes it a bit easier to set security for the dimensions based on a cube.
