Enhance system profile table usage by allowing combination of filtering categories

Using system profile tables to control remote connections/threads is a very useful feature and hence it is more and more used.
During our tests, we found out that we have the need to combine DSN_PROFILE_TABLE filtering categories. 

Currently, for example MONITOR THREADS allows specification of only LOCATION or only PRDID or only AUTHID as filtering criteria for one PROFILEID. In order to match with different applications/users coming in from the same location (cloud/gateway/subnet) and only this certain location, we would like to be able to specify a combination of LOCATION and AUTHID in our profile table as filtering criteria for a PROFILEID. Also other combinations like LOCATION and COLLID might be considered very useful.

    Dear Stefan,

    Thank you for submitting this Db2 for z/OS enhancement request. We have reviewed this request and believe it is an excellent idea. Db2 is aware of the need, but profile function is highly performance sensitive. Adding complex logical comparisons to profile filtering would significantly impact transaction costs due to having to resolve profile filtering on every transaction boundary. For this reason, unfortunately, we are not considering this idea.

    We appreciate your input to the Db2 for z/OS development team. We hope that you will continue to submit enhancement suggestions for improvements as customer feedback is a key component to shaping the future direction of Db2 for z/OS.
